Ivan Kristijan Majic was born in Zagreb and has been living in Osijek since 2012. He is currently the director of the Pannonian Center for Art and Culture and previously served for six years as the head of the Osijek Cultural Center. Since 2013, he has led numerous cultural projects in the city.
He holds a degree in theatre studies and has directed more than twenty puppet and drama productions in professional theatres in Zagreb, Budapest, Osijek, Vinkovci, and Mostar. Two of his plays have been published, and he has also created promotional films and documentaries.
Majic is a member of HCDO (Croatian Center for Drama Education), HDDU (Croatian Association of Dramatic Artists), EDERED (European Drama Encounters), and a board member of HUGO (Croatian Association of Music Organizers).
He conceived and launched several well-known events in Osijek, such as Advent in Osijek, FeelGoodWeekend, and HeadOnEast, along with various tourism-oriented projects including the Silk Road Festival and Danube Art Festival.
As a drama educator, he has conducted workshops for young people and teachers in Croatia, Hungary, Belgium, Finland, and Denmark. His multilingual collaborations (Hungarian, French, English) have strengthened international cultural exchange.
His professional mission focuses on young audiences, the development of urban culture, connecting local centers with the international community, and advancing sustainable culture projects that integrate digital innovation with heritage preservation.
