Workshop Title: The Process of Breath, the Product of Voice: A Discovery Workshop from Body to Speech

Description: In line with the theme “Process or Product?”; this experiential study, progressing through body awareness, the rhythm of breath and the vibration of voice, aims for the participant to discover the voice not only as a tool, but also as a bodily process and as a form of creative expression.
In the workshop:
- Body awareness will be created with warm-up games,
- The basics of the voice will be experienced with breathing and resonance exercises,
- Expression will be diversified with vocal improvisations and group work,
- Common mistakes in voice use will be shown through practices,
- It will be ensured that participants gain awareness about their own vocal production and get acquainted with a basic method for correct voice use,
- All this process will be supported with approaches used in professional acting training; participants will experience the steps an actor follows while working on his/her voice,
- And finally, the process will be completed with small creative practices in which the voice emerges as a product.
During all these studies, it will be experienced together how, when the process proceeds in a structured and disciplined way, a clear and effective product is achieved.
The workshop is open to participants of all levels; it is especially designed for teachers, trainers and drama leaders to restructure their relationship with the voice.
