Workshop Title: Tracing the Movement

Description: The workshop includes a practical study process that will be created by making use of movement theatre techniques (Eugenio Barba, Jerzy Grotowski). It is aimed to focus on the impact of universal language expression through movement techniques that will develop participants’ bodily expression possibilities, and through the transmission of attitude, style, and emotions by means of the body. While exploring how differences depending on age, status, profession, geography, and cultures are reflected in individuals’ expressions, the focus will be on the process rather than on obtaining a product. A broad-spectrum study is targeted, which touches upon traditional performance practices and addresses the performance heritage of different cultures through embodied dance, movement, figure, style, attitude, and voice.
